I have cause to refer to Eddie Stewart (posted on Straloch, Perthshire) again.

He has Mackenzie relatives from this area and if memory serves he said there was a book written just after the great war with pics etc. I'm sure he mentioned that the remains of one of the men was returned from France and buried locally.

I must spear him about that the next time I see him.

Bodies were not moved from France and buried in the UK except in a few cases very early in the war when the families paid for them to be buried at home. It would be interesting to know if one of the Dundonald men is one of them.
