I have today received an email communication from Jesper Ericsson, Curator of the Gordon Highlanders Museum Aberdeen that he has been informed that the name of:
Captain ROY LIVINGSTON MACKINNON, MiD(2), 4th Bn Gordon Highlanders , died of wounds UK on 15th April 1921 has been added to the GORDON HIGHLANDERS ROLL OF HONOUR of the SCOTTISH NATIONAL WAR MEMORIAL , THE CASTLE , EDINBURGH this week has been accepted as being a casualty of the Great War .
I submitted my facts to the Curator of the Gordon Highlanders Museum at Aberdeen and today I have received this excellent email from Jesper Ericsson informing me that Lt Col Roger Binks , Secretary at the SNWM at the Castle Edinburgh had accepted the facts and that Captain Roy Livingston MACKINNON , 4th Bn Gordon Highlanders was a casualty of the Great War and his name has been included in the Roll of honour. The SNWM website will be updated with the name of Capt MacKinnon in due course .
Another Hero of the Great War added to the Gordon Highlanders roll of honour at the SNWM and remembered in death all these years later - We will remember him
NB
Capt MacKinnon is listed on this index roll of honour at page 25
