Got word back from my Glasgow City Council contact:

The Officer I have dealt with regarding memorials is Kenny Boyle. He has taken the lead in establishing the to new memorials in Glasgow in recent years.

Midlothian Council's website does not have an A-Z and a search on their website for war memorials does not show anything.

North Ayrshire Council do not have war memorials listed in their A-Z but by doing a search on their website one document showed that war memorials are the responsibility of Cemeteries Services.

Cemeteries Services are part of the Cleansing, Grounds Maintenance and Transport (C,GM&T) Group of North Ayrshire Council administered from the head office at Montgomery House in Kilwinning.

Unfortunately I couldn't find any address, phone number or e-mail address for C,GM&T.

Perth & Kinross Council don't have war memorials listed on their A-Z and nothing came up on their webiste search engine.

With the recent problems with the memorial gates at Davie Park, Blairgowrie a department or name might be found.

South Ayrshire Council does list war memorials in its A-Z. It takes you to a webpage for Registration and Breavement Services which doesn't mention anything about war memorials.

http://www.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/registrationandbereavement/

They seem to be the people responsible because they look after the authority's cemeteries as well.

There are contact addresses and numbers for the registrars but not the cemetery maintenance teams.

(According to the council website Registration and Breavement Services are working on a war memorial database).
