The WW1 war memorial for the FORMER KIRKDEN PARISH CHURCH at Letham (Angus) was closed around 1950 and the roof removed as it merged with LETHAM Parish Church but the church war memorial still is there on the ruined building .

The MONTROSE STANDARD for Friday 18th February 1921 recorded the dedication service was held in the Parish Church on sunday when a memorial tablet in Memory of those who fell during the war was unveiled . The Rev John Boyle officiated at the ceremony , The newspaper recorded the war dead names from the war memorial .
