This man was born in Stoneykirk, Wigtownshire but is not listed on the memorial there. It looks like the family moved South before the war so no surprise at him not being listed there. I found his name on a new website about Uttoxeter's War memorial where he is listed.

http://www.uttoxeterlostgeneration.co.uk/miller.htm

His CWGC details suggest he may have Dorset connections as well but is he listed on a Scottish war memorial?

As you say, he is not listed on Stoneykirk (Sandhead) memorial, nor on the other civic memorials nearby. It is always possible that he may be listed on a church memorial (I have not collected church memorials in this area yet).

Not listed on any civic memorial in Dumfries and Galloway nor have I found him on any other memorial in the Region.
