According to the Scotsman 23 Jul 2002, there is a memorial stone to the 1994 chinook crash on the hillside above the Mull of Kintyre but this has not yet been posted on the forum. Could someone add it to the list please and if anyone is up that way - get some photos to post?
Also is anyone aware if any of the 29 who died have been listed on any memorials in Scotland?

\Paul

Paul

I have seen a photograph of this memorial. It is a small cairn with what looks like a bronze plaque.

There were four RAF crew, nine RUC Special Branch detectives, Six MI5 agents and nine British Army Intelligence officers killed in the crash.

I chceked the Army & RAF names in the Armed Forces database and one of the RAF men was buried in Troon. The rest have no Scottish connection.
