Fife Man Killed in Middle East
The death in action in the Middle East of Private Alexander Paton (23), Scots Guards, son of Mr and Mrs Peter Paton, 117 Blamey Crescent, Cowdenbeath, is reported.
Paton was at one time employed in the linen factory at Dunfermline of Messrs Erskine Beveridge. Before he enlisted he was employed in the Lime Works near Burntisland.
Evening Telegraph 8 January 1942

Note - the only Paton listed is a J Paton but I am adding Alexander here due to the Cowdenbeath address
