Couldn't resist putting this one in. Probably Scotland's earliest war memorial , dated between 600 and 1000 AD, many archaeologists think that this is a Pictish cenotaph commemorating an early battle.

Location on the North Eastern edge of Forres on the old road to Findhorn.

These photo's were taken years ago before the horrendous glass enclosure was built around it to protect it and control the environment.
