The ceremony here was very simple, but nonetheless touching. The unveiling was performed by Mr Lachlan M’Intosh, shoemaker, Kirkmichael, the oldest residenter in the Strath |
I thought this was a nice touch.

On 25th February, 2008 the Mount Blair Community Council received a letter regarding the upkeep of the memorial. The matter was discussed and Andrew Duncan is to respond. |

The WMR number has now been revised to 79018, which also has images taken after a complete restoration in 2014-2015.
The memorial is now vastly improved to something like when it was new. |
