This is in the village of Ardfern, by the side of the road, B8002 which branches off the Oban-Lochgilphead Rd.
Found it in 2006 but recorded no info, sorry. |

The info shown above saved writing details down on a wet and windy day! Thanks.
Two points the reference to HLF is actually A.I.F. and the Speling of MacIntyre conflicts with the CWGC records of McIntyre. I haves still to ascertain which is correct.

Many thanks for the information. I have corrected the HLF/ AIF mistake.
It is common for Mac and Mc to be different on memorials and in official records. What are the CWGC details?
Thanks

None from NOK. A military record has McIntyre, same as CWGC. _________________ Jim

Hi guys.
I'm just getting started on this so forgive the silly questions!
Kinnethmont - what is NOK please?
Kenneth Morrison - from the format of the info you posted I see that the second part is from the CWGC site. Where, please, is the first part information from? The place of birth, theatre and cause add that bit more usful detail.
Cheers

To answer your query to Ken
SNWM - Scottish National War Memorial is where the info came from. Beware of inaccuracies, though. _________________ Jim
