A cairn, that looks recently built. It is situated on the roadside in open country about a kilometer out from Cambuslang.

The cairn is made out of cemented rough dressed blocks of stone. square section with a domed top. Height is about 1.5m and base lessthan 1m square.

Inscription

This Cairn is to commemorate all the soldiers
Who walked this path to Newton Station
To go to the 1st and 2nd World Wars.
And all those who did not return.
We will remember them
Donated by pride of Place
