In memory of WILLIAM EDMONSTOUNE of Cambuswallace
Captain Lieutenant in the 27th Regiment of Foot
Who bravely fighting in defence of his King
And of the liberties sacred and civil of his country
Fell in battle near Falkirk the 17th day of January 1746 aged 32 years
