Parish of Benholm (Johnshaven) - Kincardine & Deeside District
UKNIWM Ref No. 8685

The Johnshaven war memorial takes the form of a grey granite tapering pillar with the carved thistle capital surmounted by a cross. The pedestal rests on three steps. The commemoration and names of the dead are listed in black lead lettering on the face of the pedestal.
Sculptor was Robertson & Son of Hardgate, Aberdeen.
The monument stands on the junction of Castle Street and New Road within a recessed and railed enclosure and garden.
The commemoration reads:

THE SUPREME SACRIFICE
IN THE GREAT WAR
1914 - 1919
