Erected by James Adams in memory of his loving wife Mary McLean who died 19/04/1912 aged 54 years, also his son Pte Alexander Adams, 2nd Canadians, killed in action at Ypres 25/05/1916 aged 27 years, the above James Adams died Bridgefirld, Bervie 02/11/1923 aged 74, also his son Alfred who died at Oxford 12/02/1955 aged 57.

According to his service record he was a Captain in the Indian Army. His family received the Victory and British medals from the Indian Government. However there was no mention (that I could see) of his Military Cross.

His name can also be found on the school memorial at Mackie Academy, Stonehaven.

In memory of David Cargill Boath, ex-provost of Inverbervie who died 23/04/1927 aged 75, also his son David died 15/03/1896 aged 12½, also his daughter Clementina who died 05/09/1915 aged 31. Also his son Cpl William Boath RGA, accidentally killed in Macedonia 07/10/1917 aged 27, also his spouse Clementina Watt who died 03/03/1931 aged 70 years.

According to his service records his family were issued the Victory and British Medals.
