I don't know too much about this but I have e-mailed Jim Strawbridge for any assistance.
Kathleen Stewart is not commemorated on the CWGC, SNWM or on the memorial in St. Giles.
I assume Q.A.I.M.N.S.R. stands for QUEEN ALEXANDRA IMPERIAL MILITARY NURSING SERVICE RESERVE (Jessie Ritchie who is on the Cargill War Memorial was in their service also).
'Googling' Netley suggests this was a war hospital so.........?

E-MAIL REPLY FROM JIM STRAWBRIDGE:
Hello Mark,
Kathleen Stewart is known to me but I didn't know her second name of Sinclair. I have copy/pasted below what I have on her so far. I have her as Voluntary Aid Detachment on the York Minster panel and this may explain why her grave is not one cared for by the CWGC., her name not on the Scottish Nurses Memorial. etc. She was obviously a qualified nurse but not in a specific nursing organisation. She probably volunteered her services to the VAD and was unpaid. Some kind soul looked in three Blair Atholl cemeteries for her grave for me but without success. I am now wondering, now that you have highlighted her brass tablet being in Struan Church, whether she is actually buried there. I would love to be able to record where she is buried. Anyway, many, many thanks for letting know of this brass plaque.
Kind regards, Jim Strawbridge, Devon.

Remarks: I believe this to be Miss Kathleen Stewart, matron of the Welsh Hospital, Netley. She was trained at the Royal Infirmary, Sunderland and worked for some years as the Housekeeping Sister at Charing Cross Hospital and then Assistant Matron at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh. She then became matron of York County Hospital where she was Commandant of the Military Section. She was a member of the Matron’s Council and delegate on the Central Committee for State Registration of Nurses. She was appointed matron by the Welsh Hospital Committee on the 15th July 1918 and died of influenza and pneumonia three months later. A memorial service took place at the Garrison Church, Netley and she was interred at Blair Atholl on Wednesday, 23rd October 1918. There is a brass plaque in Struan Church, Blair Atholl which reads “In affectionate remembrance of Kathleen Sinclair Stewart, A.R.R.C. matron Q.A.I.M.N.S.R. Died October 18th 1918. This tablet is erected by the Staff of the Welsh Hospital, Netley”. Three cemeteries in Blair Atholl have been searched but her grave has not yet been found. YMP5 as a late addition. Not recorded with the CWGC or YH.
