The Glasgow Herald, Monday, 28th May, 1917.
"Deaths on Service.
ROBERTSON.- Killed in action on 9th May, Private Robert Currie Robertson, Australian Expeditionary Force, second son of the late Alex. Robertson, ?r., and Mrs Robertson, 59 Dean Street, Kilmarnock, and formerly on the staffs of the Glasgow High School and School of Art."


1901 census for Kilmarnock lists Robert (17), Clerk (Forge), probably employed by his father, Alexander (45), Forge Master (Iron and Steel). Family all born Kilmarnock.

Also listed Glasgow High School, 637 Crow Road.
Glasgow School of Art, 167 Renfrew Street.
