I noticed Ardrishaig wasn't listed so far, so until we get a modern picture of this one here's a photograph from "Miss MacDougalls Photo Album".

Ardrishaig & South Knapdale - Mid Argyll District

The Ardrishaig war memorial stakes the form of a tall grey granite celtic cross with celtic-wheel-head and central boss, and with celtic patterns carved in shallow relief on the face of the shaft and cross. The cross stands on a tapering rustic pedestal which in turn is elevated on a low tapering cairn like base of granite blocks.
The commemoration is set in black lead lettering on the face at the base of the cross shaft; the names of the WWI dead are listed on the dressed face of the pedestal; and those of the WWII dead are on a bronze tablet set into the face of the base cairn.
The monument stands on a raised grass verge on the side of the main road near the canal lock gates.

(Re the following I'm not sure re the accuracy of my transcription for a few entries.
For WWI the entry for J. COSMO G. STEELE is apparently one man,
For WWII there appear to be two men who served with the A.I. and were awarded the M.C., unless I'm misreading this and they served in the M.C.I.A.? Any help on this would be appreciated.)
