Robert Wood

There is some confusion about the year of Robert Wood's death. CWGC states 24/8/1918. SNWM states 24/8/1917. The memorial plaque in Peebles Old Parish Church concurs with SNWM i.e. 1917 as does the Book of Remembrance for Tweeddale (although it has 25/8/1917).

Name: WOOD, R
Nationality: United Kingdom
Rank: Lance Corporal
Service Number: 41703
Regiment/Service: Cameronians (Scottish Rifles), 5th Bn
Date of Death: 24/8/1917
Grave Reference: III D 10
Cemetery: Coxyde Military Cemetery

Also named on Peebles War Memorial.
