2nd Lieutenant William Victor St.Clair McLaren Memorial
St Cuthbert's Church, Lothian Road, Edinburgh
OS Ref: NT 247 736

A Boer War Memorial. 2nd Lt McLaren was born and died in South Africa so it would be interesting to know the connection to St Cuthbert's.




Lt McLaren served with the 2nd Bn Argyle (sic) and Sutherland Highlanders and died near Balmoral , Transvaal on 26th July 1900

William Victor St.Clair McLaren was born at Heidleberg, Transvaal on 24th May 1877.
