The candelabra at the altar in St Michael's Kirk, Linlithgow are dedicated to the memory of the son of the manse
The small plaque at floor level
reads

Only Son Of The Minister Of This Parish
Captain 7th Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders
Who Died On Active Service December 30th 1918
