I've noticed that on some of the memorial lists links (coloured blue) are being created on the names. This then takes you to the thread for that particular memorial.
This is very handy - but how is it done?

I think it was Derek who told me so I'm stealing his thunder here.

If you wanted a link to your Cameronians memorial thread you would type Cameronians at the end of it.

I have added an extra space after [url= to make sure you can see this example text

Cameronians

but if you take that space out it will simply give you

Cameronians

Hope his makes sense

Adam

And to avoid similar, very frustrating and time costly errors, do one link at a time - PREVIEW it to make sure that the link is working (ie shows up in blue) and then POST it before moving onto the next intended link.

I believe that both Adam and myself have made the fatal mistake of losing lots of links by not saving them as we went along Sad

Adam/Derek,

Thanks very much and clever indeed.

This is/will be very useful for the tidying up side of things.

I'm afraid it's a bitter mistake to make. I've lost hours of work this way. An alternative is to hit the edit button and then copy the text to a word document. You can then update it without fear of losing the updates and then paste it back in again when you are finished.

Regards

Adam
