The memorial is in the entrance of St Andrew's Greenknowe Erskine Parish Church. OS Map Ref: NY 193 665

Inscription reads:

LEFT SIDE: GREENKNOWE/ PARISH CHURCH/ APRIL MCMXX

CENTRE: PRESENTED BY/ RICHARD BELL ELDER

RIGHT SIDE: TO COMMEMORATE THE/ PRESERVATION OF MEMBERS/ OF THE CONGREGATION/ ENGAGED IN WAR 1914 - 1920
