"CALLANDER, FRED KEILLOR. Private. King's Own Scottish Borderers. Gallipoli. Killed in action July, 1915."

Frederick Kellor Callander – age 19 – Private (7197) 1/4th (Border) Battalion, King's Own Scottish Borderers.

Missing in Action on 12 July 1915 and named on the Helles Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
He is also named on the Kelso War Memorial.

His cousin is also named on the Stichill and Kelso memorials but not anywhere in Angus (I think!)

William Callander – age 26 – Lance Corporal (201061) 1/4th (Border) Battalion, King's Own Scottish Borderers.

Born 1891 in Eassie and Nevay, Forfar. Son of Alexander and Christina (Easson) Callander of Stichill Cottage.
Alexander and Jane were brother and sister.
Missing in Action on 19 April 1917 and named on the Jerusalem Memorial, Israel.
