This photograph was taken around the time of the dedication of the Crosshill War Memorial in 1921; it comes from my mother's collection. The man on the left is my great-grandfather, William Quinn of Dalcur Farm, farmer and milkman. The tall man in the bowler hat is Sir Charles Fergusson of Kilkerran, sometime 7th Governor General of New Zealand. The others appear to be the village elders and I think they probably comprised the planning committee for the war memorial.
