According to the Aberdeen Press and Journal of 31 January 1927 this memorial was originally on the top of Witches Hill above the town (dedicated 5 May 1921- refer The Scotsman 6 May 1921). At the end of January 1927 it was severely damaged in a bad storm.
It is presumed to have been moved into the town park after that event. |
