Captain MacDonald is named on Royal Troon Golf Club War Memorial. He died on 4 February 1918 at 220 Albert Road, Glasgow. Occupation: Solicitor and Clerk, Company Secretary, late Captain, Army Sevice Corps. Cause of death: Lymphadenoma and Cardiac failure.
Apparently Lymphadenoma is a rare type of tumour of the salivary gland.
There are six Pension ledger cards in his name but none give anything other than his basic details. Any further progress will need to wait until the National Archives reopen post-Covid. There are papers held there, ref: WO 374/43955
I have put him in my Bring Forward file. |

Thanks Ken. That will be helpful if a case can be made for him. |
