Derek,
Is there a maximum file size for photos being posted?

Richard

Others may correct me, I don't think there is a limit because you don't actually post the photo here, just a link to it.
I keep my photos on photobucket which has a limit of 800X600 and they seem to be fine for showing on the forum.
I tried once with larger photos stored elsewhere but that made the page very slow to load.
Most posters keep higher res originals and would be happy to provide them on request but I think I will be sticking to photobucket's limit for posting purposes.

sorry, I should have apologised for jumping in on someone's question, but it was posted in the forum rather than sent as a PM so I hope you don't mind?

Photbucket is good in that it automatically resizes the submitted pics to the 800x600 format so you don't have to trim the pics to fit.

Oh, didn't know that, I have been doing it manually so I might have been wasting my time. It must be limited in what it does though, because I forgot to resize mine once (from 5MB) and it took forever to upload and when it was finished only half the picture was there and the other half was grey.

I didn't know that either until I accidently uploaded some 3mb images and they all resized.
Now they all get resized by Photobucket Laughing
