By the way he is also commemorated on the Ackergill and Hempriggs Estate memorial, see here-

http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=4664

There is also supposed to be a memorial to him and his son (who was born after his death), at an unidentified location in the Hempriggs area whch reads:

JANE LOUISA DUFF-DUNBAR/ WIDOW OF GARDEN DUFF-DUNBAR/ BORN 24TH JAN. 1856/ DIED 28TH AUG 1948/ WITH HER ARE ALSO REMEMBERED/ KENNETH JAMES DUFF-DUNBAR/ DSO RN/ YOUNGER SON OF/ GARDEN DUFF-DUNBAR BORN 16TH OCT. 1886/ KILLED IN ACTION 19TH AUG 1916/ (HM SUBMARINE E16 NORTH SEA)/ AND HIS ONLY CHILD/ KENNETH JAMES DUFF-DUNBAR/ BORN 21ST NOV 1916 KILLED IN ACTION 6TH AUG 1944/ (SEAFORTH HIGHLANDERS, NORMANDY)/ "I AM GONE THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE LFE, AND/ THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE IT MORE ABUNDANTLY"

This is WMR 13466. Given that no-one has found this memorial recently I susoect that this is a gravestone somewhere
