Keam Public School closed in 1969.

The memorial board, unveiled on 1 July 1920 (refer Aberdeen Press & Journal, 2 July 1920) is now in Duffus Church
The board of polished oak, contains three panels, the two outside ones bearing the names and regiments of the fallen, while the central panel contains striking symbolical design representing Victory which appears to be on a mirror.
The inscription is
Above the central panel- WENT THE DAY WELL? / WE DIED - AND NEVER KNEW
(two columns of names)
Metal plaque below the central panel
This memorial was erected to / The memory of the pupils of / --- Keam School --- / Who fell in the 1914-18 war / Removed to Duffus Church in 1969 / After closure of Keam School.
