One more correction - to my comment about this being used 9 times - make that 10. I've just realised that there is another memorial in Grangetown in South Wales which is yet another version of this figure. As has been pointed out elsewhere (see the comments - & excellent photos - on the Langholm memorial) there are slight variations with some of the versions, but the same basic cast was used in all cases.
