I seem to recall a few years ago that someone managed to point to some Church of Scotland guidance from 1914 'advising' all ministers (or church sessions?) to maintain a Roll of Honour of all those serving in the war. Does anyone remember this and can you point me in the direction?

I thought there was a thread about Church of Scotland rolls from 1914 with blank spaces for the parish and the heading "European War 1914" but only found this. I think a member of this site, or perhaps WMT, once Emailed me about them too.

Anyway I was in Nairn Museum at the weekend and they've 2 identical rolls to the Duns and Coldingham ones. Again clearly composed in one go in 1914 - filling 1st and about 1/3 of 2nd - then further men added presumably as they 'joined up'.
