The last named man on the Roll of Honour is a bit "odd".
Thomas Adam Young – age 21 – Private (29867) 18th Battalion (4th Glasgow) Highland Light Infantry died on 19 August 1917 and he and his brother Robert James Young – age 20 – Private (45276) 2nd Battalion, King's Own Scottish Borderers who died on 21 October 1918 are named on the War Memorial in the adjacent parish of Oxnam.
I presume that Robert is the man named on the Memorial plaque but he's not on the Roll and Thomas is not on the plaque.
However Thomas is named on the neighbouring Edgerston Parish War Memorial. _________________ Ken |
