"Lance-Corporal Thomas Crombie, King's Own Scottish Borderers, was yesterday officially reported as having been killed in action at the Dardanelles. He belonged to Newarthill. He joined the Regular Forces about seven years ago. Crombie was about 28 years of age."

Samuel Craig Gilroy – age 37 – Sapper (81233) Railway Operating Division, Royal Engineers.
Samuel was a crane driver when he enlisted in March 1915. He died in the 3rd Australian Casualty Clearing Station in Grevillers.
