Monkton - Kyle & Carrick District
The Monkton war memorial is a slender and very simple grey granit pillar with a simple square step at the base, a capital and a wreath carved in relief in the upper face. There is also a Memorial Hall in the village.

Not listed on UKNIWM

Located at a road junction in Monkton at OS Map Ref NS 358 277

I visited this memorial today. Both the memorial and surroundings are now looking significantly better than in the previously posted pics. Monkton is right alongside Prestwick Airport. Prestwick and Monkton is the present day parish.

There is now an unusual bench behind the memorial to the members of Monkton and Prestwick branch of the British Legion.
