The separate Depots of the Glasgow Transport Corporation originally had their own memorials. Now that most of the depots have been closed they are located in Parkhead Depot which still operates as part of First Bus.

JAMES KEATINGS, 15th H.L.I. KILLED 7th MAY 1916.

James Keatings – age 35 – Private (13837) 15th Battalion (1st Glasgow) Highland Light Infantry.
Known as the Glasgow Tramways Battalion.
James was a motorman (tram driver) with the Glasgow Corporation Tramways and was living at 29 Winston Street, Parkhead, Glasgow when he enlisted. (Source:SDGW and Glasgow Roll of Honour)
Born 1881 in New Luce. (Source:SNWM and GRoS – Birth Register)
Son of Michael and Elizabeth (Wright) Keatings of Main Street, New Luce.
Husband of Daisy (Whyatt) Keatings who he married in 1907 in St. Rollox, Glasgow.

Killed in Action – 8 May 1916.
Commonwealth War Grave – Authuile Military Cemetery, Albert, France.

Listed on the Carsphairn Parish War Memorial in Kirkcudbrightshire as:
PTE. WM. DICKSON, R.A.M.C.
William Dickson – age 32 – Private (29718) 13th Company Royal Army Medical Corps.
William was a motor man with the Glasgow Corporation Tramways and was living with his family at 59 Roebank Street, Dennistoun, Glasgow when he enlisted in the Home Hospital Reserve in March 1915. He was Ward Master at the Maryhill Auxiliary Military Hospital in Glasgow. He was discharged from the army due to illness in May 1916 and awarded a Silver War Badge (39183) He died of tuberculosis in Carsphairn.

No 13 Company, RAMC was a pre-war unit based in Scotland with its headquarters at Edinburgh and those joining it during the war probably reinforced local military or civilian hospitals.
