Sergeant Gordon Guthrie Keddie, Calcutta Scots is listed on the Park Church Memorial (now in Giffnock)
http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=5496&highlight=keddie
He died on 8 April 1918 and is buried in Calcutta.
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GScid=2319595&GRid=74952069&
He is not on CWGC or SNWM but this might be because The Calcutta Scottish was a volunteer/auxiliary force of the Indian Army and was not a "recognised" unit, unlike the Calcutta Volunteer Rifles who served in Mesopotamia.
Clarification please - a possible non-com or not?

Ken

Am checking but expect he was not " embodied " and as such, remains a civilian.

Do you have his Service Record or death details ?

Ken

I have not found much more than your link provides

As already suggested, like any other Territorial or Reserve if he died in service he would count for CWGC, but he he would have to have been embodied at that time, otherwise he is a civilian.

You would need to locate his Death Certificate and / or Service file to see what they relate.
