Spoons

I don't know who is responsible but the figure bears more than a passing resemblance to the scowling figure on Holytown's war memorial in Lanarkshire.

One's a highlander and the other a lowlander but the head, hands and stance are all very similar.

Adam both memorials were by Messrs. Scott & Rae of Glasgow, the Kirkconnel monument being the first.

The Scott & Rae Daybook has the entry:
Order number 5114, Kirkconnel, Figure & Pedestal, Date of Erection July 1920, Day Book 167.
