UKNIWM Ref 44406

Original Location in Anwoth Parish Church, Gatehouse of Fleet. The church closed in 2002 and this was moved soon afterwards.

Current location is outside on a wall, formerly part of a walled garden, in Cardoness Estate at OS Map Ref NX 5650 5342

It's new outside location is not being kind to this marble plaque which could really do with being back under cover.

Here we go - photo from Margaret and Graham from (this week) Gatehouse-in-the-Fleet, who tell me that the quote ‘sub umbra alarum tuarum protege nos’ rather appropriately means ‘protect us under the shadow of your wing’ from Psalm 17.8
