This War Memorial is situated within building occupied by "Smart Cookies" and thanks to owner Irene Tudor for assistance. The community is currently deciding where the memorial should be moved to.
Thanks to Mrs Aase Goldsmith for photos and Robert Herd for information.
The information on the "Burgh Lodge" building comes from article written by Ms Pam McIlrroy.

The Great War memorial plaque which was in the former War Memorial Institute, later a youth hostel and now Smart Cookies nursery, has been moved. It is now in the Falkland Community Hall. There is a new war memorial on Brunton Green, Falkland.
