Additional information: Son of Annie Cramond Tait, of Glenholm, Davidson's Mains, Edinburgh, and the late James Guthrie Tait. Formerly employed on Staff of Royal Bank of Scotland, Edinburgh.

This cross from France originally sat beside the family grave outside the church. (His father was the local tax collector)
One day the cross was found in the woods behind the church where someone had tried to burn it! That is why the bottom of the cross is missing and why it is now inside the church.
2nd Lt Tait is also listed on the Cramond War Memorial beside this cross.
