This has a Boer War memorial on the Lochside Rd south of the A886/815 road junction.

The WW1/2 memorial is inside the public hall, as per UKNIWM entry. Both hall and church were locked when I visited.

The parish is combined with Stralachlan which should have it's own WM but it's parish ch was also locked and I didn't see any roadside memorial.

A scan from the book "For Remembrance" by Sir James Gildea. The book was published in 1911.

In Memoriam. Captain DONALD MACLACHLAN, Castle Lachlan, 1st Royal
Inniskilling Fusiliers, mortally wounded at Ventner's Spruit, Spion Kop,
20 January, died 1 February 1900. Private NEIL CRAWFORD, Leachd, Argyll
and Sutherland Highlanders, killed at Magersfontein, 11 December 1899.
"Seididh and Trompaid"

Private Crawford, N. No.6845 is also listed on the A&SH Regimental memorial at Stirling Castle.

From various newspaper reports this is known to have been erected by mid July 1905, there is no evidence of a formal unveiling
