The attached link is to a local web site with some interesting stuff. I'll let them speak for themselves:

http://www.threestones.co.uk/memorials/index.html

When I photograph the Upper and Lower Cabrach War Memorials I will post them individually.

Unfortunately, the church is locked; the following photographs had to be taken through the window.

Unfortunately, I think that this is the best that I can do.

That's a pretty ggod effort through a window Roxy.

The left hand names are very clear and I reckon we could decipher the right hand ones.

The casualty details are given in full on Neil Sheed's site which Roxy linked to in his original post.

I am aware there is a memorial within the Lower Cabrach Kirk, formerly the Free Kirk. Again, Neil has given these details.

At the Gordon Highlanders Museum on Friday I spoke to a couple who told me that a new cairn has been started and due to be finished during the summer.

Prince Charles has joined tributes to a Scottish community whose loss of lives in World War One may have been greater than previously thought.

The Duke of Rothesay laid a wreath on a visit to a new memorial cairn built by the community of Cabrach in Moray.

The cairn commemorates the farming community and neighbouring parishes at Rhynie, Lumsden and Dufftown.

There is also some "stuff" about the Community's losses running into "the hundreds" but...............
