I have a photo which shows this to be an unusual WM: a tablet attached to a roadside boulder.
Kildonan is a township south of Whiting Bay. A minor rd off the main rd drops dpwn to the coast. Grid ref old 1" OS map is 033 208.
The names on it are
L/Cpl T Sprowle, Argylls; Pte J McBride, J A McDonald and D Cumming, RH (Black Watch?); J Forrest and S Storrie, RSF.
Inscription reads "In lasting memory of those who fell in the Great War 1914-18".
This district is in the parish of Kilmory; there is another WM 9 miles west but these names are not on it: see my post under Sliddery. |

Typo on the first name: it is Sprowle. |

Does anyone have a closeup of the names on this memorial? |
