Please find below an alphabetical list of those mentioned on Abbeyhill Baptist Church's Great War ROH.

I tried to post a photo also but can't due to the forum rule that states I must contribute 5 posts. I will add the photo when I have met this requirement.

Do you have any more details on these men? I would be interested in finding out more about the men who died but you said before you were doing research so I don't know if you have their details already?

Regards

Adam

Hi Adam

I do happen to have details for a couple of the men on the Abbeyhill memorial simply because they are either mentioned on another Baptist memorial [i.e. William Whyte] that I have either completed, or because I researched the individual at the request of a living relative [i.e. John Hogg].

I list below the Baptist Churches that I'm currently working on in order and also what stage my research is at:

Marshall Street = completed
Morningside = completed
Leith, Madeira Street = completed
Duncan Street = writing up at the moment
Charlotte Chapel = gathering information
Abbeyhill = gathering information
Bristo = early stages of gathering information
South Leith = early stages of gathering information
Gorgie = early stages of gathering information
Dalkeith = only one casualty as far as I'm aware
Dublin Street = incomplete list. Church and memorial demolished. No Church records found to date.
Portobello = no casualties reported
Ratho = no casualties reported

Let me know which ones you are interested in and I'll see what I have to hand already.

Regards
LIT

This is a Robert Hunter printed Roll of Honour. Gorgie Baptist Church used the same printers but the design is slightly different. See here:
