Lt.-Col. George Anthony Murray was born on 7 January 1907.2 He was the son of Sir George Evelyn Pemberton Murray and Muriel Mildred Elizabeth Hope.1 He married Hon. Angela Pearson, daughter of Weetman Harold Miller Pearson, 2nd Viscount Cowdray and Agnes Beryl Spencer-Churchill, on 25 August 1930.2 He died in April 1945 at age 38 in Italy, killed in action.2
Lt.-Col. George Anthony Murray was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.2 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He graduated from Oxford University with the degree of Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Scottish Horse (Territorial Army).2 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.). _________________
