A couple of things struck me here:
1. - No WW2 names. I asked a passer-by who said that there are 'boards of some description' inside the village hall, which is behind the memorial. Another day for that.
2. - Lord Charles Mercer Nairne. I was surprised to see his name. He is on the Kinclaven and Caputh civic memorials, Perthshire, his home being Meikleour House near Blairgowrie. I'm not sure what his connections were to this area. |

I can now answer point 2. The Mercer Nairne's also had a seat at Aldie Castle which is in the area. |
