Not listed on UKNIWM.

OS Map Ref NX969758

My efforts to publicise the forum to local museums resulted in the following reply from Dumfries Museum:

"Thank you for your email telling us about your website, the Scottish War Memorials Discussion Forum. I noticed the Cochran’s memorial, which reminded me of a small memorial plaque we have in the collection here at Dumfries Museum.

When Nestle closed down the Carnation Factory in Dumfries in 2001, we were offered several items for the Dumfries Museum collection. Among them was the company’s World War II memorial. The plaque was kept on the factory entrance area wall from 1948. Here is a transcription for your records:

IN MEMORY OF OUR EMPLOYEES WHO
MADE THE SUPREME SACRIFICE IN
THE 1939-1945 WAR

F DUNLOP
R G HAIR
J FARRELL
S HANNAH
D GILLON
A MUIR
D GREEN
J I NICHOLSON

At the moment the plaque is in storage so if you would like to see it, do let me know in advance of your visit."

I have made an appointment to photograph it next week.
