Dunvegan, Roag and Harlosh - Island of Skye
UKNIWM Ref no. 5909
The Dunvegan, Roag and Harlosh war memorial is a pink celtic cross with wheel-head surmounting a classical pedestal which in turn rests on a cairn built of local stone. The cross has celtic patterns carved in relief on the face and the commemoration and names of the dead are set in lead lettering on the faces of the pedestal.
The monument stands above the main road in the village leading to the castle and stands on a raised enclosure surrounded by a wall which is surmounted by a wrought iron railling.
