Very low light conditions resulted in a shaky image of this damp little scroll. I will transcribe the names of the fallen.

The names marked with red crosses, indicating that they did not survive the war are:

Lt Arthur Douglas Ferguson, Seaforth Highlanders
Lt Alex Chas Holme, 1st Gloucesters
Lt Ronald Henry Paull Holme 2nd KOSB
Pte William Pringle KOSB
Pte Archibald Waldie Black Watch

A Roll of Honour
Placed here to the undying memory of all Members of
Cranshaws Church, as well as all who have been in the habit
of worshipping regularly in this church, who enlisted and fought
and gave their lives for God, King and Country in the Great War.
4th August 1914-28 June 1919.

Located in Cranshaws Parish Church.

Note the first 3 casaulties (Lieut Ferguson and the Lieuts Holme) are found also on a civic memorial, a lychgate, in neighbouring Longformacus parish.

There is no civic memorial or plaque in Cranshaws parish.

I include here additional pictures & exterior.

Note how the damp crease that is affecting the roll follows the crack in the wall!!
