Two sons are commemorated on one cross. Both boys have no known grave and are commemorated on CWGC memorials. I don't know if the parents David Douglas Forbes or Jeanie Menzies Forbes were buried here later?

The cemetery is on the main road (A816) just beofe entering Oban from the south. The gates are opposite the car park for the Water Treatment Works. Sorry for the quality of some of the photographs due to the poor weather.

Historical Information: There are 23 Commonwealth burials of the 1914-18 war . There are a further 58 of the 1939-45 war, including 8 unidentified seamen of the Merchant Navy and 4 unidentified sailors of of the Royal Navy. There are also 1 Dutch merchant seaman and 4 non-war Service burials here.

There is also a Falklands War casualty buried here:
PO41923R Marine Gordon Cameron MacPherson, Zulu Company, 45 Commando, Royal Marines.
His gravestone is in Section S
Killed in Action on 12 June 1982 aged 20 years by Argentine mortar fire at the Battle of Two Sisters, East Falkland.
Gordon was from Dunbeg and was a former pupil of Oban High School and appears on the school's memorial, as well as the main Oban Civic Memorial on the Corran Esplanade.
